Burley has been in business for over 30 years making cycling products used in outdoor activities.

The company manufactures exceptional and safe family cycling gear and accessories aimed at providing fun for all the family.

All Burley bike trailers are made with strong but light weight aluminum tubing. This material is used to create a sturdy roll cage for the protection of the passengers.

Fabric materials used are polyester that is water repellent, stain resistant and easy to clean. These materials come in bright colors and are very strong

Versatility is built into a Burley bike trailer. They can be used for jogging, strollers and ski trailers.

A Burley bike trailer not only meets but exceeds the industry standards set out by ASTM.

History

The Burley name was derived by Alan Scholz, the company owner. Burley Bike Bags was the original company name and was named after his wife Burly Bev. As the company name suggests, bags, attached to a bike was how things started out, later developing in to a bike trailer. Burley promoted the trailers and grew the market by advocating the car-free lifestyle and family recreation.

Today “Burley” has become synonymous with “bicycle trailers”.

Models

The 2009 line up of Burley bike trailer models include 9 different models for children, 2 models for pets and 2 models for cargo. Here are the trailers for children:-

d’Lite and d’Lite Tiger – Comfy and spacious zone, the d’lite and Tiger d’lite are the only Burleys with bowed-out side battens to add elbow room. They also comes with suspension to make the ride even more comfortable.

d’Lite ST and Solo ST – New for 2009… the Burley d’lite ST and Solo ST gives you two options; bike or stroll, with the included stroller kit for no additional cost. The all new d’lite ST features a newly designed and enhanced seat that includes new shoulder and harness pads that are removable for washing. Newly designed push button wheels for ease of removing for storage and assembly. New integrated wheel guards with quick Tow Arm Mount for an easy, fast install. Added cargo space for up to three bags of groceries making space for a quick trip to the grocery store or local farmers market any day of the week.

Cub - The Cub base is made of a double-walled plastic, which is extremely durable and easy to clean. Comfy features have been improved with a newly designed seat compartment, deluxe seat pad and padded shoulder harnesses, and a new helmet pocket. At 81.3cm (32″) wide, this Cub conveniently fits through most doorways.

Honey Bee – Ready to bike right out of the box, the Honey Bee can also easily convert to a stroller. With a padded seat that accommodates one or two children, the Honey Bee is a must have for any young or growing family. Added cargo space for up to three bags of groceries allows for any type of shopping trip

Encore – The Encore can convert from a bike trailer to a stroller, jogger and even a ski unit to accommodate all your seasonal adventures. Additional features of the Encore include its removable seat and harness pads for ease of washing and its adjustable seat so true comfort can be found. Added cargo space for up to three bags of groceries or any cargo needs.

Solo – Burley’s stylish single child trailer has all of the features as a d’lite in a compact single-child design. Perfect for one child families with an active lifestyle.

Bee – simple, durable, dependable – the Bee is made with all the safety and quality standards customary to Burley trailers

Burley also offer bike trailers for Pets (Tail Wagon, Rover) and for transporting cargo only (Nomad, Flatbed).
